Welcome to my CCNA study page. This section will contain documents, notes, online resources, other lab data that will help me study for my CCNA certification. Hopefully other people looking to obtain their CCNA certification will get use out of this series of pages. I will update this page as much as possible with new data as I find new resources and/or post new notes and lab data of my studies. These pages will be under constant construction until I earn the CCNA certification.
- What is the CCNA?
- The CCNA stands for Cisco Certifified Network Associate and is the beginning certification needed to persue other Cisco certifications, like the CCNP, CCSP, CCVP, and the CCIP. The various CCIE certifications do not have a prerequisite of the CCNA, but many CCIE certified individuals started out with the CCNA. The only Cisco certification's that do not have a prerequisite of the CCNA is the CCDA and CCIE. The CCNA will cover, but not limited to The OSI Model, The Cisco 3 Layer Model, IP Subnetting, Ethernet LAN Switching, VTP, VLANs, RIP, RIPv2, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, PPP, ISDN, Frame-Relay, and Access-lists.
